What comes to mind for me now is uncritically self-centered, visceral reactions, almost instinctual behavior, especially when our thoughts are overcome by our deepest emotions. That's my shot at what it means.<br /><br /><i>It has a very accusatory sound, and doesn't instantly appeal to most people the first time they hear it. </i><br /><br />I think it is even used accusatorily by many as something one shouldn't be or should strive not to be.<br /><br /><i>I should mention that I don't think irrationality, on the face of it, is bad, but when it goes unnoticed masquerading as rational behavior it can have very serious and harmful consequences.</i><br /><br />^^ Yes, this.
